ABOUT PAINT PROTECTION FILM
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a protective layer designed to shield your vehicle’s paint from chips, scratches, and swirl marks. Applied to the exterior surface of your vehicle’s paint, it comes with a 10-year warranty against staining, cracking, blistering, and delamination. However, please note that this warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents or debris impact.
ACCEPTANCE
Acceptance of Terms Your use of Profl ect’s services is subject to the following Terms and Conditions (“the Terms”). By engaging Profl ect’s services, you agree to abide by these Terms and any applicable laws. Breach of these Terms may result in damages or losses to Profl ect, for which you will be liable. Acceptance of these Terms can be indicated by proceeding with booking services or making payments to Profl ect. Any modifi cations to these Terms must be mutually agreed upon in writing before the scheduled installation date.
LANGUAGE
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the English language.
BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS
Booking and Deposit
To confi rm the date for PPF Installation, a non-refundable deposit of at least 20% is required upfront to facilitate the purchase of materials. Payment must be received by Profl ect at least one week before the scheduled installation date.
Booking Confirmation
Booking confi rmation via email from the client and acceptance by Profl ect constitutes a binding agreement. Once a booking is confi rmed, Profl ect reserves the agreed-upon time and date exclusively for the client.
Cancellation or Postponement
Cancellation by the client within 48 hours of the confi rmed date/time incurs a fee of 50% of the booked time rate. Cancellation within 24 hours of the confi rmed date/time will result in the full fee being charged. Additional expenses incurred by Profl ect due to cancellation or postponement may also be charged to the client.
Cancellation by Proflect
In the event of cancellation by Profl ect due to circumstances beyond their control, including illness or unforeseen emergencies, efforts will be made to arrange an alternative installer or a full refund will be issued.
Payment Completion
Full payment is required before the vehicle can be released. Failure to settle outstanding payments may result in vehicle repossession.
OWNERSHIP AND USE OF FOOTAGE
Footage Ownership
All footage captured during the PPF Installation process remains the sole property of Profl ect.
Promotional Use
Clients grant Profl ect permission to utilise images and footage for promotional purposes, including social media, websites, portfolios, and advertising materials.
CONFIDENTIALITY & CONSENT
Confidentiality
Proflect and its staff are committed to maintaining confi dentiality regarding client information and materials, disclosing only what is necessary to fulfi l their obligations.
Consent from External Parties
Clients are responsible for obtaining consent from relevant third parties for any materials or information related to the PPF Installation process.
DRYING TIME
Post-Installation Care
Following PPF installation, a curing period of 3-4 weeks is required. Clients are advised not to wash the vehicle for at least 7 days post-installation and should return to Profl ect for a complimentary inspection after 2 weeks.
CONDITION OF VEHICLE
Vehicle Condition
Vehicles should not have existing paint protection coatings such as ceramic coating, as these may affect adhesion and lead to issues such as lifting or bubbling.s must be delivered to Profl ect in good working condition. Any mechanical or paint issues arising after delivery are the sole responsibility of the client.
Non-OEM Surfaces
Proflect does not provide warranty or damage claims for PPF applied to non-OEM surfaces.
PAINT
Risk Acknowledgement
Clients acknowledge the risk of paint lifting on repainted or improperly prepared OEM panels and waive any claims against Profl ect for damage during the installation process.
Touch-ups
Touching up small paint chips post-installation is not recommended due to potential aesthetic concerns.
EXPOSED EDGES
Debris Buildup
Profl ect cannot warrant against debris buildup on exposed edges, particularly on light-coloured vehicles.
HEADLIGHTS
Installation Risks PPF installation on headlights is not recommended due to potential risks, and clients waive any claims against Profl ect for damages.
FILM BADGE AND DECAL REMOVAL
Risks of Removal Clients acknowledge the risks of paint, glass, or defroster damage during fi lm, badge, or decal removal.
IMPERFECTIONS
Expected Imperfections
Minor imperfections such as dust contamination or orange peel texture may occur in PPF applications and may accentuate pre-existing fl aws in the vehicle’s paint. This is a very normal part of PPF installation and can be expected to be seen with the naked eye. Profl ect will endeavour to do the best job possible to avoid and keep imperfections to a minimum but it is unavoidable. If the client is unhappy with the minor imperfections, a remove and refi t fee will be invoiced to cover the cost of additional materials.
Nibs & Debris
Nibs and Debris under the fi lm are to be expected and while we do our utmost best to minimise and avoid them, the likeliness of there being some visible during installation is to be expected. Older and frequently used cars prior to installation are more likely to have nib spots visible but it can also be common to see on brand new cars as well. If the client is unhappy with the minor imperfections, a remove and refi t fee will be invoiced to cover the cost of additional materials.
ADDITIONAL TERMS
Loss or Damage Responsibility
Clients are advised that Profl ect shall not be held responsible for any losses or damages to vehicles or personal belongings left within, due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to fi re, theft, or other uncontrollable events.
Clients are responsible for ensuring the removal of any valuable personal items from the vehicle prior to the PPF installation process.
Vehicle Operation and Mechanics Lien
By engaging Profl ect’s services, clients grant permission for the operation of the vehicle by Profl ect and its staff for pickup and/or delivery purposes. Additionally, clients acknowledge and agree to an express mechanics lien on the vehicle by Profl ect.
The client acknowledges that they are fully ensured and that PROFLECT will not be held responsible or liable for the client being uninsured.
Post-Care Instructions
Clients are required to adhere strictly to the post-care instructions provided by Profl ect following PPF installation. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in premature wear and tear on the PPF coating. Wear and tear due to improper PPF care are not covered under warranty, and clients shall be liable for any associated repair or refi tting costs.
External Parts Removal
Clients are responsible for the removal of all external parts (e.g., roof racks, snorkels, door handles, badges, fl ares, windscreen wipers as required or requested by PROFLECT) from the vehicle prior to PPF installation.
Profl ect shall not be held liable for any damages or paint chips that may occur during the removal of these items if PROFLECT is required to remove anything that has not been taken off prior.
If items are required to be removed by Profl ect PPF installers, a fee may be charged.
Vehicle Preparation
Clients are required to ensure that the vehicle is washed and cleaned before drop-off at Profl ect. Any additional cleaning required may incur extra charges.
Pre-Installation Documentation
To ensure transparency, Profl ect will take pre-installation photos and exterior videos to document any existing dents or scratches on the vehicle.
By making payment to “Profl ect,” you acknowledge and agree to all Terms and Conditions outlined above. These Terms and Conditions are provided with every invoice for your reference.
